Hamblenet's ADSL Broadband Service

New 2Mb capped download £17.99 / month

Broad band offers many advantages over 56k dial-up access.

  • Increased speed - up to 20 times faster than dialup. Web pages load in
the blink of an eye and music downloads take seconds rather
    than tens of minutes.
  • Permanent connection - no more waiting for modems to
dial-up and negotiate data rates. Just click and you're on.
  • Free up your phone line - even though you are connected
to the Internet using adsl broadband your phone is still
free to make and take calls.
  • Easy on the pocket - One monthly charge covers all
your surfing. No matter how long or how often you access
the net you won't pay more.

Don't forget - with every ADSL Sign-up we supply a Modem/Router. This provides a convenient hardware firewall and helps to keep your Internet access safe from nasties like the Msblaster, Welchia and the Sasser virus.

New 2Meg/sec fast internet access, capped at 2Gig download. More than enough for most people - £17.99/month

Three different uncapped offerings, which one suits you ?
Broadband 500 - £23.99/month (£1 a month cheaper than AOL)
512kbits/sec, nearly 10 times faster than 56k Dial-up

Broadband 250 - £20.99/month
256Kbits/sec, nearly 5 times faster than 56k Dial-up

Broadband 1000 - £29.99/month
1Mbits/sec, nearly 20 times faster than conventional Dial-up

Facts about ADSL

ADSL stands for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line.
The download speed is faster than the upload speed, hence asymmetric.

ADSL is only available on BT lines, you cannot use it on NTL or other cable telephone services.

Though most of the UK is now covered by BT you need to be within 5km of an exchange to benefit from the service. Part of our sign up routine checks that your number can support ADSL.

A simple filter is used at the telephone socket to isolate the adsl signal from your phone calls.
